'Keeping me young at my age of nearly 92!'

Chair based exercise classes were one of the first activities to return to Queen’s Crescent Community Association (QCCA) in the early weeks of the centre opening up again.

Mary Pierce, Older People’s Services Coordinator at QCCA said, “These sessions have been really popular and as we had to limit them to smaller groups for social distancing, we now run them five mornings a week.”

“We also offer one to one, half hourly gym sessions with our fitness instructor which are also very popular.  Members can’t get enough of the fitness activities!”

One member, Akash*, 92, said “This place is a boon to my wife and I. Keeps us in good health and cheer and fit all round. Cannot thank Azmal enough for looking after us so well and, keeping me young at my age of nearly 92!”

Another member, Amanda* said “Coming to the seated exercise class had made a BIG difference to my wellbeing and mobility.”

The chair based exercise classes are held at Queen’s Crescent Community Association every morning from 10 to 11 am (Monday to Friday) and they are free.  To book a session contact Mary Pierce, Older  People’s Services Coordinator on: 07402 354984 or [email protected].
