Age Friendly London

Come along and join Age UK London and Ageing Better in Camden to find out about how we can make London more Age Friendly. Book your free tickets here.

We plan to start by discussing Age Friendliness as a whole, then focus on a particular topic within it.

In June, the Mayor of London announced that London is signing up to the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Age Friendly City scheme. According to the WHO “An age-friendly city encourages active ageing by optimizing opportunities for health, participation and security in order to enhance quality of life as people age. In practical terms, an age-friendly city adapts its structures and services to be accessible to and inclusive of older people with varying needs and capacities.” (WHO, 2007)

Join us to discuss your priorities for a more Age Friendly city and to learn more.

Registration with tea and coffee: 10.00am
Meeting begins: 10.30am
Meeting ends: 1.00pm
