Age UK and Coronavirus (COVID19)
In line with the latest guidance in relation to the Coronavirus outbreak, we are taking several steps to reduce the risk of infection to our client group while continuing to offer high quality care and support. These steps will also limit the risk to the charity’s staff and volunteers. We are liaising closely with Camden London Borough Council who are in support of the steps being taken and with Camden Islington NHS Trust.
We will continue to provide the same services, but in some cases in a different way. Where change is required to the support a client receives, this will be communicated.
Age UK Camden are receiving a significant number of calls from older people in distress because they haven't enough food at home and are too nervous to go out.
We are here for all the older people in Camden who need us. We understand the anxiety as well as the practical ramifications is this situation, we are supporting an increasing number of older people and their relatives who are reaching out to us for help.
