In October 2015 Ageing Better in Camden commissioned thirteen pharmacies in the borough to identify older people who were lonely or isolated and refer them to Community Connectors. We want to share what we learnt with other organisations looking to do similar work.
At the Mary Ward Centre we have a 32-student strong digital photography class for older Camden residents in partnership with North London Cares. The digital photography class wanted to leave the classroom and go out into the streets to learn about street photography. So we did. This is how it went and what we learnt.
Gordon Deuchars from Age UK London blogs about our joint event where we invited older people and stakeholders from Camden and across London to discuss what makes a city age friendly, and to focus in on one particular topic: streets and pavements.
Our partners the Third Age Project have a local campaigning group working on issues that arise from the development of High Speed 2 railway (HS2). Find out how to get involved.
