At North London Cares we wanted to find a way of introducing technology into our regular activities without scaring off existing members or it becoming the sole focus on the activity. This is what we did and what we learnt.

Older men are often underrepresented within Ageing Better in Camden groups. That's why we started doing outreach in pubs, and hosted an iPad session in a local pub.

Our partners, Abbey Community Centre, are delighted to share the news that their befriending scheme for over 60s, Kilburn Good Neighbours, has won the 2018 Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service!  It's the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK to recognise exceptional service in the community.

We are looking for a volunteer Outreach Community Facilitator!

The role of the community facilitator is to assist the Outreach Service to bring people together by providing ongoing practical support to enable small groups of older people to meet and enjoy social contact or to share an interest or activity.

Every two years we come together for the Camden Intergenerational Week, during which Camden’s diverse communities come together to forge and strengthen long-lasting, intercultural and personal relationships, with a focus on intergenerational connections.
