Free training with Camden Disability Action

It’s Our Camden Too!

Camden Disability Action will be providing a range of training and development opportunities over the coming months and years as part of our ‘It’s Our Camden Too’ programme. We are starting things off with three essential workshops which will help us work together going forward to make Camden a great place for disabled people.

Disability Awareness Training

The session will focus on understanding the range of access needs disabled people have and the barriers this presents.  We want to make sure all disabled people can come closer together as a community and campaign for the changes we want to see in Camden. To do that we have to make sure every disabled person can get involved and feel included.

Date:    27th November        Time   10 am to 1 pm

Venue: Charlie Ratchford Centre, Belmont St, Chalk Farm

Understanding Your Rights

This workshop will give an overview of disability discrimination law and how it affects you. It will cover what is disability discrimination and what you can do if you feel you have been discriminated against because of your disability.  This is an introductory session and we will be offering more in-depth sessions on disability discrimination in early 2019.

Date   3rd December                        Time 10.30 to 2.30

Venue Charlie Ratchford Centre, Belmont St, Chalk Farm

Running your own campaign

These workshops will provide you with the skills, knowledge and information needed to run your own campaign in Camden. You will learn about the different campaigning tools and tactics and hear from people who have already run successful local campaigns.

Date   11 and 12 December                       Time 10.30 to 2.00

Venue Charlie Ratchford Centre, Belmont St, Chalk Farm

All the training is FREE and we will provide food and refreshment. For more information email or telephone Rosemary Frazer 07846499635
